The items will need to be unused, un-opened and in their original packing and if the error wasn’t at our end you’d have to cover the postage costs.

When should I put out bird food?

Year-round, but especially in winter and spring when natural food is scarce.

What food attracts the most birds?

Black sunflower seeds, peanuts (unsalted), suet, and mealworms.

Are your bird seeds safe for all bird species?

Our bird seed mixes are formulated for a wide range of garden birds, including robins, finches, sparrows, and more. Check individual product descriptions for species-specific recommendations.

How should I store bird seed to keep it fresh?

Store bird seed in a cool, dry place in an airtight container to prevent mold and deter pests.

Moss Remover

Can I use moss remover on my patio or driveway?

Yes! we offer both lawn-safe and hard-surface moss removers. Always check the product label to ensure it’s safe for your intended use.

Will moss remover harm my grass or plants?

Our lawn-specific moss removers are formulated to kill moss without damaging grass when used as directed. Avoid contact with flower beds or edible plants.

How long does it take for moss remover to work?

Results can usually be seen within 7–14 days, depending on the product and environmental conditions.

What’s the best compost for vegetables or herbs?

We recommend the Evergreen Peat Free Fruit & Veg Compost enriched with nutrients for edible crops.

Do you sell peat-free compost?

Yes! We have a growing range of peat-free composts, ideal for eco-conscious gardeners.

Is your compost suitable for indoor plants?

Yes! look out for Houseplant Potting Mix, designed to support healthy indoor plant growth.

Do I need to add anything to your compost before planting?

Most of our composts are ready to use, but for long-term crops or containers, you may want to add a slow-release fertilizer after 6–8 weeks.

Pest & Insect Control

Are your pest control products safe around children and pets?

Some are, others should be used with caution. Always read product safety labels and usage instructions. If a product is pet-friendly, it will be clearly mentioned in the description.

What’s the best product for controlling slugs and snails?

We recommend our Organic Slug Pellets or Copper Tape for eco-friendly protection that won’t harm wildlife.

Can I use your bug sprays on edible plants?

Yes! Doff Universal Bug Control can be used on all edible crops as well as plants and flowers.

Gardening Tools

What’s the best tool for pruning shrubs and small trees?

For thin stems, use hand pruners (secateurs). For thicker branches, choose loppers which offer extra leverage and reach.

What tools do I need for basic garden maintenance?

For general upkeep, we recommend starting with a hand trowel, pruners/secateurs, garden fork, spade, watering can, and gloves.

Do your tools come with a warranty?

If the product includes a manufacturer's warranty then the warranty details will be clearly mentioned in the product description.

What’s the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel tools?

Stainless steel tools are rust-resistant and low-maintenance, while carbon steel tools are tougher and stay sharper longer but may need more care to prevent rust.
